Time is running out to register to vote in the upcoming midterm elections. The upcoming midterms are on November 8th, but the registration period ends at end of day on October 11th.
Who Can Register?
You are able to register to vote if you:
- Are a US citizen
- Are a resident of Tennessee
- Will be at least 18 years old by November 8th
- Have not been convicted of a felony
- Have not been adjudicated incompetent
How to Register
You can still register today using any of the following methods.
Register Online
Registering online is fast and easy. To register online, you must have a valid driver’s license or a photo ID issued by the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security.
Simply head to GoVoteTN.gov and fill out the application for safe and secure voter registration that can be done quickly.
Register By Mail
It is not too late to register by mail. However, you must make sure your registration is postmarked with today’s date (October 11th) in order for your registration to be accepted.
Simply print out the mail-in application and send it off before the end of the day today.
Register in Person
You can also register in person at your local county election commission office. Print off the application and hand-deliver it to the election office before they close at 4:30pm. There are two election offices in Nashville at the following addresses
1417 Murfreesboro Pike, Nashville, TN 37217 (next to the airport)
and
800 2nd Ave S, Nashville, TN 37210 (downtown)
